After 29 crossing and 10 years of personally guiding Toogee Treks clients across the Kokoda Track (not to mention the dozens of Self-Guided treks over the years), Robert Frost knows how to organise and conduct a trek to give you the best possible experience on your journey of the famous wartime Kokoda Trail.

The Kokoda Trail is our most famous trek here in Papua New Guinea. It is steeped in WW11 history and is an emotional and physically challenging walk. We have spent many hours on the track opening up new areas for trekkers to visit pertaining to the Kokoda campaign.

Australian Kokoda Tours (AKT) was formed by Mick O'Malley after he decided to turn his passion for Australian war history, into a career telling the Kokoda Soldiers' stories to other Australians.

Kokoda Strive Trekking

Our Papuan leader is fully trained and briefed by Australian Paramedics and we have a strict protocol for emergency situations on all tours. We have a computer monitored GPS tracking system for all Papuan led tours which can relay information immediately back to Paramedics in Australia to assess any incidents or emergencies and implement emergency procedures if necessary.

Buna Treks and Tours is 100% PNG (Oro Kaiva) owned business set up more than five years ago, and is appropriately registered with legal entities in PNG to operate as a tour company, we are also a registered Kokoda Track Licensed operator providing trekking tours on the Kokoda Track.

Frank H. Taylor and his team have had a 30-year relationship with the people and landscape of the Kokoda Trail.
